Lancashire Firestorm Film Festival

Where bold stories ignite. Welcome to the fireside, Preston

We are beyond thrilled to announce, in conjunction with the Lancashire Film Network, the launch of a film festival on our home turf here in Preston. From the award-winning team behind Lytham International Film Festival and CineWyre, Firestorm is a bold celebration of cinema from around the world, with a focus on bringing local and global cinema together in a city where opportunities for filmmakers to get their work seen is still incredibly limited.

Our host venue is probably the best choice for a festival that dares to inspire like a LFN event - Firestorm will be held in Preston's iconic Animate leisure development in the heart of the city, at a venue that goes hand in hand with independent film: The Arc Cinema. Just a stone's throw from the University of Lancashire and Cardinal Newman College campuses, there's no cinema in Preston better suited to championing the world of film beyond the box office top 10.

And it isn't just a Festival. Every month, The Arc will welcome audiences to a new, regular film night, bringing curated blocks of content in peak time on a Friday Night, between now and Firestorm itself in 2027.

This is something we've known about for well over a year here at TheJackSmit.com, and we're really really excited to work with the LFN, and especially our new friends at The Arc, to make this a festival to remember.
