First Take: Monsters University - Pixar's prequel delights fans of the OG Monsters Inc

SYNOPSIS: A look at the relationship between Mike Wazowski and James P. "Sully" Sullivan during their days at Monsters University, when they weren't necessarily the best of friends.

I was expecting big things with this film and I wasn’t disappointed. Monsters University is a very good film that tells us exactly how Mike and Sulley became scarers. The script even allows for the return of characters like Randall, the Abominable Snowman and Ros, in her guise as the head of the CDA.

Particular mention has to go to the Pixar short The Blue Umbrella, which is played right before the film. It shows how much CG animation has evolved since Toy Story as it is the most realistic animation I have ever seen. Go and see it people!
