First Take: The Heat - it's getting hot in Boston...

SYNOPSIS: An uptight FBI Special Agent is paired with a foul-mouthed Boston cop to take down a ruthless drug lord.

I had very high expectations for this film and yet again I wasn’t disappointed. Sandra Bullock is perfect for her role as Ashburn, the FBI agent who only when she arrives in Boston takes the mick out of herself. But it was Melissa McCarthy who made this film what it is. Without her The Heat would be too serious to be classed as a comedy. It’s a funny film with a funny plot and a great cast.
