First Take: Last Vegas - a relatively OK comedy for what it is

SYNOPSIS: Billy, Paddy, Archie and Sam have been best friends since childhood. When Billy proposes to his much-younger girlfriend, they go to Vegas to relive their glory days. However, the decades have changed Sin City and tested their friendship.

Last Vegas is one of those films that is stereotyped from the moment it is mentioned to anyone. A film with 4 mates, lots of alcohol and Las Vegas as a setting instantly makes anyone say it is a mature version of The Hangover. That isn’t the case with this film. It’s got a lot of heart in it with some good music too. The ‘Awesome Foursome'  (Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Kevin Kline and Michael Douglas) are brilliantly cast and the script is absolutely brilliant. If you need your January brightening up, then this is the film for you.
