CineWyre 2026 on TheJackSmit.com
It's a special festival to have been involved in, because not only are we the Media & Creative Partner to the event (and running all the social media for Year One), but our very own Jack has already seen the films, alongside screenwriter, director and producer Michael Farrell, as part of the judging process. You can read the full programme over at cwfilmfest.com, but as for right here, well, it is very much business as usual for our coverage of such an event.
TheJackSmit.com Coverage of CineWyre Film Festival
Front Row
Our coverage begins tonight (as this post goes out), with exactly one month to go until the Festival - with the series built for such previews. We've put together a very special edition of Front Row covering the majority of the programme, which goes live at 8pm UK time across all of our platforms - that's the Blog, YouTube and Podcast feeds.
First Takes
Across the Festival week itself, Jack has written proper reviews up for the three feature films on the programme, with the First Takes of Cowgirls & Synthesizers and Rotten Apple from the Documentary block, and Bird Boy from the Family Friendly selection featuring here on TheJackSmit.com as the credits roll on their respective screenings - and from this week, Indie Film Friday returns as we begin profiling the shorts to look out for across the festival, in a new run of Short Takes. The Breakdown, Socials and The Journal
And on top of our thorough coverage across the blog, Jack will be on site at the Marine Hall for ALL FOUR DAYS of CineWyre giving you all the insight from Jake Mark, Ryan Green and Jess Allanic's Masterclasses, the films that land well with audiences, the wisdom from each Q&A session, anecdotes from our two networking sessions, and our usual post-event wrap up in the form of The Breakdown. Plus, after the Festival, in a special Journal episode we'll profile the full journey from start to finish. And just so you know... closing the entire event is the Oscar-nominated Jane Austen's Period Drama. It's an unbelievable privilege to be able to cover Lytham, and now being really involved in CineWyre (especially seeing our brand next to Blackpool Tower over Christmas) has been an eye opener. Enjoy our coverage, and hopefully we see one or two of you at the Marine Hall.
CineWyre 2026 will be held at Fleetwood's Marine Hall between February 26th and March 1st - tickets are now available at the Marine Hall website and box office.
Presented in partnership with Lancashire Film Network, Wyre Council, Discover Wyre, Film Hub North, BFI Film Audience Network, North Euston Hotel, Beyond the Bar and TheJackSmit Ventures
